In our previous blogs we have discussed the functional benefits of dental implants for patients at the Coventry Centre for Advanced Dentistry. However there are also massive emotional and self-esteem improvements often seen with our patients–please see the videos on the testimonials section of our site…
This was confirmed at the Association of Dental Impantology conference held in birmingham 2 weeks ago where research showed the emotional and psychological benefits of implants to those patients suffering with loose or missing teeth. Please feel free to contact the surgery for a chat if you feel you or a family member/friend could benefit.

Dental Implants to improve self-esteem!1
Saturday, May 23rd, 2009Loose teeth and dentures–a fixed instant result
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009Many people are not happy with their own teeth or their loose dentures. In the past the only options were new false teeth or dentures but the latest worlwide technology is now available in Coventry to provide fixed implants to replace these. At the practice we are experienced in implant placement and also offer computer guided implant placement where we can place implants without stitches and immediately place fixed bridges in about 1 hour! This is no longer science fiction but science fact…. Dr Jag Shergill would be happy to offer a short free consultation to discuss with patients wanting implants as to whats on offer and literally provide firm natural looking teeth within a lunch hour!
Dental implants – ‘natural’ tooth replacement
Tuesday, April 7th, 2009Missing teeth can compromise your health, eating habits, cause problems with your speech and change your facial structure. When a tooth is lost the bone in that area deteriorates and when all of the teeth are missing the facial structures collapse as the jaw deteriorates over time.
Dental implants form a fixed foundation for permanent replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth. People who have lost all of their teeth are spared the many problems associated with traditional dentures and for those who have lost one tooth or more the adjacent teeth do not need to be ground down for bridgework or have clasps on them to anchor partial dentures.
If you would like to explore the possibility of dental implants please call us on 024 76454350 and book a complimentary consultation with Dr Jag Shergill.
Tooth Knocked Out
Tuesday, March 17th, 2009It is distressing when a tooth is lost through dental disease or an accident but even more so when due to an assault.
We recently saw a patient who had some teeth knocked out during an attack.
We have carefully and quickly made some temporary teeth and eventually the patient will have two dental implants to restore his previous function and appearance.
If a tooth is knocked out it is sometimes possible to put the same tooth back but ideally you should see your dentist within one hour of the accident or assault.
If a tooth is permanenetly lost dental implants will usually re-create your smile on a permanent basis.
Here at the Coventry Centre for Advanced Dentistry we deal with the aftermath of a number of such incidents and if you need any help please call us for a free consultation on 024 76454350.
Loose Teeth? Dental Implants are the answer!
Tuesday, March 10th, 2009Having loose or missing teeth really affects your confidence and can also inhibit your ability to chew.
Dental implants provide a fixed way of solving these problems as well as giving you the beautiful smile you never thought possible.
Yesterday we placed dental implants for a patient who will soon have the confidence to eat what they wish without embarrassment – an apple or even steak! The patient will also be able to smile without covering their mouth with their hand.
If you are embarrassed by loose or missing teeth or poorly fitting dentures and feel that nothing can be done for you then please give us a call and book a free consultation with Dr Jag Shergill on 024 76454350.
We regularly see patients who have given up hope and we have been able to restore their confidence with Dental Implants.
What is a dental Implant?
Monday, March 2nd, 2009A dental implant is typically a small screw inserted into the jaw bone to replace a missing tooth. This tooth can look and feel and perform like a natural tooth. They can be used to replace a single or several missing teeth. Patients are often surprised as to how painless this procedure is. If you have any questions and are interested in dental implants contact us for a free consultation with our experienced qualified Implantologist, Dr Jag Shergill and his team.
