A patient came in yesterday very upset because a crowned tooth at the front of her mouth was failing and she knew that eventually the tooth would be removed and she would have a space.
This was the patients worst nightmare as she does not want a denture and is not keen to compromise healthy teeth by having a bridge.
After discussing dental implants with the patient she has decided that this is the best option for her. She was also very pleased to hear that after tooth removal a small one tooth denture will be placed in the space so she is without a gap at all times.
After a period of healing the dentist can then place a dental implant and after a short time a crown will be permanently fixed on top of the implant.
