A gentleman came into the surgery today looking for a solution to a very common problem. Having had orthodontics (braces) as a child he could now see that the teeth had started to revert back to their original position. After chatting to the dentist he admitted that he had not wore a retainer to help keep the new position.

The Dentist discussed six month smiles with the patient, these braces are worn behind the teeth so cannot be seen and in many cases the teeth can be straight by the next check up – in 6 months!!

After treatment the Dentist will place a fixed retainer at the back of the teeth to keep the new position.

The patient is starting treatment in a few days and is very excited.
