Lingual Braces
Lingual braces in Coventry
The word lingual means ‘on the side towards the tongue’, which means that lingual braces refer to correcting teeth using braces that are bonded to the inner side of the teeth, rather than the outer side.
This means that our braces cannot be seen by other people, but teeth are realigned to the correct position.

Removable appliances only allow simple, minor tooth movements, whereas even extreme examples of teeth being out of place can be corrected using lingual orthodontics.
There is no age limit for lingual braces. People often think it is limited to children and teenagers but patients in their sixties can be treated effectively with lingual braces.
Children can use lingual braces but only once the permanent teeth have come through.
